Night - Elie Wiesel
This book impacted my life in a huge way. I had always had a fascination with WWII stories, and this one brought
it to life in a way I had never imagined possible...a very graphic account from a person who was my age at the time I first
read the book.
I will post a weekly blog that outlines what was read each week, as well as other WWII related books.
Hitler Youth - Susan Campbell Bartoletti
This book, Hitler Youth, absolutely broke my heart to read. It outlines what it was like to grow up under the guidance
of Hitler and his ideals.
Jacob's Rescue - Malka Drucker and Michael Halperin
Jacob's Rescue is about a Jewish family during WWII who
is forced to split their family up for safety. Jacob stays with a Christian family who he grew up knowing well.
He is forced to stay in hiding. This is a beautiful story, and actually the first book about WWII that I can remember
reading.
